“The weather wasn't kind, so I spent most of my time dodging rain showers. When the sun did decide to show up, it didn’t stay for long so I had to work fast. That said, the course was a treat to shoot, with the bunkering being of special interest and offering up plenty of drama.”

Like the rest of the resort, the course doesn’t pull any punches. Lead designer Marc Nicholas Westenborg says the generous portion of land allowed a number of Tiger tees to be included in the five-tee complexes. The result is a track that extends to an eye-watering 7,800 yards. Not that many people will play it at that length, or at all if plans to cap membership at 300 are realised.
